Pastor

Rev. Tom Pierce
Born: Sept 28, 1959 in Knoxville, where I lived for eighteen years.
Joined FBC, Knoxville in 1975, under the inspiring pastorate of Dr.
Jesse Fletcher; active in the youth group, puppet team, and youth mission
trips under the gifted and gracious leadership of Nancy Crider, Sarah
West (am I remembering the right name?), and on great occasions, Dave
and Jo Ward. (Though only a member for two years, I will always consider
FBC Knoxville my "home" church.)
Called to ministry on a youth mission trip to Connecticut in 1977.
Educated at Wake Forest University (alma mater of my dear friend and
mentor) with a degree in Mathematics.
Served four years as an officer in the U.S. Army at Redstone Arsenal,
Alabama.
Earned Masters of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological
Seminary in 1993 (last class with diplomas signed by Roy Lee Honeycutt!)
Married for 22 years, with three teenage boys -- 19,15, and 13.
Currently pastoring Trinity Baptist Church (since 1993), Big Spring-
Bloomfield Presbyterian Church (since 2000), and Bloomfield Christian
Church (since 2002) in Bloomfield, Kentucky.
Also working secularly as founder, co-owner, and Senior Systems
Analyst of Integrated Information Systems, a small technology consulting
firm in Louisville, Kentucky.
Active in Boy Scouts, community choir, and various ministerial
associations. I enjoy tennis and golf and play bluegrass banjo and
classical guitar (rarely at the same time).
